Chicken Karahi is a beautiful dish flavoured with garlic and green chillies. Our spiced blends give the dish a warming feel and is best served with nann bread or roti.
Stuff you will need
- 4 tbsp oil or 2 tbsp ghee and 2 tbsp oil
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 1-inch ginger, grated
- 1 to 2 green chillies, thickly chopped (optional)
- 500g to 600 g diced chicken breast
- 4 medium tomatoes diced
- 100ml natural yogurt
Method
- Add oil to the pan and bring to medium heat. Add onions and cook for 8 mins until golden.
- Add garlic, ginger and chillies (optional). Cook for 1 min.
- Add chicken and cook for 5 mins until the chicken has changed colour.
- Add tomatoes and QURRY SPICES 1, cook for 1 min.
- Lower heat, cover and cook for 20 mins.
- Turn heat up to medium/high and cook for 15 - 20 mins or until the oil starts to separate.
- Lower the heat, add yogurt and cook for 2-3 mins.
- Add QURRY SPICES 2, stir and cook for 2 mins. Serve.
